A time away from the Sacraments does not mean it should be a time away from the Lord. In fact if anything, these strange times we are living in, should draw us all closer to the Lord. As Catholics, we are SO blessed to have such tangible access to the Lord - to receive Him in Holy Communion, to hear him audibly through the lips of the priests in those words we so long to hear when we have repented of our sins, "I absolve you from your sins," to be strengthed by the "prayers of the presbyters" and the anointing with the Holy Oil when we are preparing for a surgery or very sick. So many times the Lord comes to us in the sacraments but during this time he wants to sharpen our senses to the other ways he comes to us. He comes particuarly in His Word in Sacred Scripture. He comes to us anytime our family gathers in prayer. He comes to us in the beauty and order of Creation when we have the eyes to see and the thought to slow down and wonder. We would be wise to use this time to go deeper with the Lord. In the column to the right are some resources grouped by "Adults" "for the Family" and then "General" which is less about faith and more just about how to help in our general health. The idea is not that you should fill up all of your time with constant watching of Masses, Rosaries, Saints' Movies, Studies, etc. for then we might miss an important message from the Lord about just slowing down and Being Still in this time. However, we all from time to time, need something to help prime our sensitivity to the Lord in our life, and our children often need something to help them discover more about who Jesus and the saints are. That's what these resources are intended to help with
In Christ,
